Might this have something to do with the fact that BT Cellnet don’t exist in this part of the dales?... | Looking south-west over Wensleydale towards Widdale Fell from High Shaw, on the road to Butter Tubs pass. | Looking due south over Hawes, again from High Shaw. The Wensleydale Creamery can be seen to the right of the coppice of trees, behind the hill, the trees being to the right of the church. The road to be seen climbing over the moors up Sleddale heads from Hawes, through Gayle, over Oughtershaw and into Wharfedale at Hubberholme. Only the road was flooded, and therefore impassable, in Wharfedale. |
